Cannot afford to trade: Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis is in the running for best player in the world and just signed a three-year $177.1 million extension. He cannot become a free agent until 2027 and is ineligible to be traded until April 2024. The Greek Freak wanted the franchise to upgrade their roster after their shocking first-round playoff upset, and the Bucks did. It was enough for Antetokounmpo to sign a new deal that keeps him in Cream City for the foreseeable future.

The two-man game between Giannis and Damian Lillard is still developing, but figures to be a massive weapon for the team in the playoffs. Everyone is adjusting under new head coach Adrian Griffin, and there is still a ton to unlock. The Bucks have the talent. Now, they need the fit and the luck to win it all.

Antetokounmpo wants a second championship and is determined to bring it back to Milwaukee. The franchise went all-in at his request. Now it is time for the Greek Freak to lead them on a run. It won’t be easy, but that is what both sides desire.

Will the Milwaukee Bucks make a trade before the Feb. 8 deadline? There will be plenty of talks and rumors, which fans won’t want to miss, but making a deal won’t be easy. Luckily, the Bucks have plenty of talent. Stay tuned to see if it is enough.
