1. Bobby Portis

Portis has started appearing in rumors as the Bucks search for upgrades. The latest has him heading to Dallas in exchange for Grant Williams. Milwaukee loves Portis as their sixth man and backup big, but can he make a significant impact in the playoffs?

The 6’10 big man has seen his minutes decrease in the postseason for three straight years. Portis can get buckets, rebound, and space the floor, but teams exploit his defense more when the games matter most. The Bucks also have Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez to turn to over Portis. They are not afraid to play them massive minutes in the playoffs, which means fewer for Portis.

The Bucks would need a significant upgrade. Portis is sixth on the team in minutes and their fifth-leading scorer. Milwaukee must improve their defense, which would be the reason to acquire Williams from the Mavs. Do not be surprised to see them do an offense-for-defense trade before the final buzzer.

The Milwaukee Bucks want to win the championship in 2024 and are willing to do whatever it takes to improve their roster. Can the franchise find the difference-maker they need? Keep a close eye on the Bucks through the trade deadline to find out.
