Miami Heat - Delon Wright

There's a decent shot the Bucks could be in the market for a new backup point guard this off-season. If so, they should go for a defensive-minded one, and a player who fits the bill is Delon Wright, coming off a brief stint with the Miami Heat to close the season.

Wright's most desirable attributes are his strong defensive ability and height, which go hand-in-hand. He stands at 6-foot-5, giving him a height advantage over most guards while also allowing him to take on smaller wings. For years, the Bucks have typically rolled with undersized backup point guards, which has hurt them at times defensively, so adding one with height could be a nice change of pace.

Offensively, Wright is capable of playing both point and shooting guard, which could make him a very valuable cog. He'd be capable of sharing the floor with Damian Lillard and focusing more on defensive duties but also taking on ball-handling duties when Lillard catches his breath. That, paired with his height, makes him a desirable fit.

Coming off one of his least-productive seasons, Wright is likely looking at a minimum contract for his next deal. That would be a fine move for Milwaukee, especially if they are in the hunt for ball-handling in the second unit.
