Milwaukee Bucks fans themselves don't worry about regular season results

For the entire Mike Budenholzer era, especially after the Bucks won the NBA championship as the third seed, fans thought the regular season didn't matter. The Bucks, and Budenholzer in particular, were judged by their performance in the playoffs.

Yet here we are, the first year without Budenholzer, losing our minds over the regular season. It hasn't mattered for years, but now we're picking apart every little thing the team does.

When push comes to shove, if the Bucks win another championship, we will look back and laugh at how dramatic some of the reactions were during this season. It would be similar to the team's slow start in 2021 that convinced some people the sky was falling before Milwaukee went on to win the NBA Finals.

The 2023-24 Milwaukee Bucks season has been incredibly unique with all that has happened. Between the Lillard trade, the firing of Griffin, and bringing in Rivers as his replacement, there will surely be something released about this year in the future through a documentary, movie, or book.

With all that has gone on, I'm not sure anybody knows what the appropriate reactions should be. Perhaps I am too optimistic and relaxed at the All-Star break, but I'd like to go into the season's home stretch confident rather than worried. In the end, we all want the same thing: our favorite team to win another ring.
