4 Things to watch for in Milwaukee Bucks training camp following Media Day
The Milwaukee Bucks had their Media Day on Monday, and there were some interesting takeaways that give us things to keep an eye on as training camp gets started and preseason nears. The Bucks open their preseason slate on October 6 against the Detroit Pistons.
Starting with the Q&A featuring general manager Jon Horst and head coach Doc Rivers, there are definitely things to keep an eye on as the season starts on October 23. That said, let us highlight a few things to keep an eye on following Media Day.
Khris Middleton's availability
Khris Middleton had some clean-up procedures done on his knees that have been described as routine. That hasn't stopped Milwaukee fans from panicking at the recent report stating that Middleton hasn't been cleared for five-on-five work just yet.
However, Middleton is said to be progressing nicely, and the team is just taking a cautious approach to his recovery. He is expected to take part in most of the training camp activities.
Now, what should be watched for is just when Khris Middleton is cleared for five-on-five work. Even fully healthy, Khris Middleton probably wouldn't be playing a ton in the preseason anyway, but just watching for when he can be scrimmaging with the rest of his Bucks teammates will be worthwhile.
Doc Rivers did mention that Khris Middleton is in shape conditioning-wise, so he should be far, far ahead of where he was at this time last year, which is already a positive sign. The Milwaukee Bucks cannot win it all without Middleton, so they will likely take a cautious approach here.
