  • S.E: I think Nuggets fans hope and believe Nurkic is the future. He was a total surprise, and the argument could be made that he is the steal of the 2014 draft.

    He has emerged not only as a tough-minded big who can bang with the best of them, but he’s also an entertaining presence who isn’t afraid to mix it up with vets (see the Marc Gasol incident the first time he faced Memphis).He’s strong on the boards on both ends of the floor, and if his offensive game develops, he could be something really special.

    The fact that the Nuggets were rumored to communicate to other teams that he was essentially the only “untouchable” player ahead of the trade deadline says a lot about what the franchise thinks of his potential. And he could easily emerge as the unrivaled fan favorite for the next 10-12 years.
