The Milwaukee Bucks split a pair of games in week 17 of the NBA season. Three Bucks stood above the rest to earn a spot in the Milwaukee Bucks player of the week rankings.

The All-Star break and trade deadline are behind us. That means the second half of the NBA season is in full swing.

The Milwaukee Bucks chose to not make any deals at the deadline. It seems like it was the smart move for a franchise that so often has made major deals in order to push for an eighth seed. The market for the Bucks tradeable assets was weak so it is was nice to see the front office not do anything drastic they might regret later.

This week the Bucks kept with the lineup that gave them a two game winning streak before the All-Star break. So now the lineup of O.J. Mayo, Khris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker, and Miles Plumlee have went 3-1 in the last four games they have started together. That is pretty good for a Bucks team that has lost essentially 59 percent of their games this year.

More from Bucks News

Milwaukee played two games this week. First, they went up against the Charlotte Hornets in Milwaukee. Finally, they faced off against the Atlanta Hawks in Atlanta.

Both games this week were extremely competitive. The Bucks lost to the Hornets when Khris Middleton missed the final shot. However, the Bucks rebounded the next night by beating the Hawks in double overtime.

Two highly competitive games indicate that there were a multitude of Bucks players worthy of a spot in the Milwaukee Bucks player of the week rankings. By my estimation there were five guys who all could have made it this week. Cutting out two of the five was a challenge but I believe the correct top three were chosen.

Let’s see who made the cut!
