In a market where value could be hard to come by, which young players could prove to be bargains for the Milwaukee Bucks in the long term?

The challenge of free agency is that the team or teams who managed to make the smartest moves aren’t always immediately apparent.

Never could that prove to be more relevant than against the backdrop of this year’s rising cap either. The players who sign contracts that they are able to relatively outperform will be worth more than their weight in gold moving forward, and as such the challenge comes in identifying who they are.

One of the best options to find some of those bargains is to take a gamble on young players who might have found themselves in poor situations in terms of opportunity or fit.

As the Milwaukee Bucks look to fill out their roster with role players who can provide meaningful contributions at reasonable prices, they’ll likely be best served by trying their luck with some of the underappreciated players aged 25 and under in this free agency class.

With a variety of options who have earned their spot in the NBA having gone undrafted or started out in the D-League, there’s a proven pool of hard workers with the potential to be something more.

Throw a couple of draftees who never quite got the right opportunities and it’s not difficult to spot a number of worthwhile young bargains who are worth pursuing.

Having dedicated significant time to looking at Seth Curry (here) and Troy Daniels (here) in-depth in the past, I’ve left both of those players off this list, although they would certainly be valid of inclusion.

Still, let’s take a look at five other young players who could be the ulimate risk reward signings in the coming weeks.
