Former Milwaukee Bucks could end up being future Milwaukee Bucks once NBA free agency begins. Would Brandon Jennings make for a good pickup?

The Milwaukee Bucks could use a point guard who can pour in the buckets from time to time. Malcolm Brogdon and Matthew Dellavedova are good spot-up shooters and defenders, but maybe a change of pace guard available in NBA free agency could help Milwaukee.

Enter Brandon Jennings, the genius mind behind “We gon’ win in 6,” an enduring Bucks mantra to this very day. What if the Bucks needs Jennings around to actually fulfill the prophesy of winning a series in six games?

More from Bucks News

Jennings had a less-than-storied career with the Bucks that included a 55-point game in his rookie season, an unsuccessful backcourt pairing with Monta Ellis and a trade that netted Milwaukee both Brandon Knight and Khris Middleton, one of John Hammond’s best rolls of the dice in his time as general manager.

Jennings is a free agent after serving as the Washington Wizards backup point guard for the latter half of the 2016-17 NBA season, which he began with the New York Knicks. Could he be a good pickup this summer for Milwaukee?

To find out, we’ll go through Brandon Jennings’ strengths, weaknesses, potential salary and fit with the Bucks to see if he would make sense as a target in the 2017 NBA free agency period.
