Welcome to Opposition Intel!
The Milwaukee Bucks finally managed to pick up the first win of their homestand (in its last game) against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night. It was timely too, as now getting ready to face the San Antonio Spurs as the second half of their back-to-back, Milwaukee will need to be on their game.
Although, the recent losses were probably making the Bucks look worse than their actual play of late, wins are important, and last night would have boosted confidence.
Confidence seems to be exactly what the Spurs have too, as having welcomed Kawhi Leonard back into the fold following injury, they’re looking like they’ve got some of their championship swagger back, and have gone 7-3 in their last ten.
Ahead of the action, we spoke to Spurs expert Matthew Tynan to get a bit more insight into just what’s going on with San Antonio basketball, and to establish what the Bucks should expect on Sunday.
Matthew covers the Spurs over at ESPN True Hoop’s 48 Minutes of Hell, and has previously had his work featured at sites like Bleacher Report and SB Nation. You can follow him on Twitter at @Matthew_Tynan
Let’s take a look at what he had to say.
