The last seven days have essentially been “Make everything Ti explicitly said and/or hinted at in the last BTBP Weekly Roundup seem stupid” week. Kenyon Martin (aka Uncle Buck) has cut through the jungle and found the fountain of youth. Brandon Knight has looked so good at playing point this week that I had to devote a whole article to it (after an earlier article in which I said that he was…not so good at being a point guard). And, most importantly for Bucks fans:
The .500 streak is dead! Usually I try to keep the results of the games a mystery until we get to the individual game recap pages, but wow. A five game win streak doesn’t seem huge, but considering that’s exactly one-third of the wins Milwaukee managed all last season and that the Bucks hadn’t won five straight in three years(!) I think it deserves a mention here on the front page of my article.
Although spirits are high in Bucks Nation right now (that’s a mythical place I made up where everybody cares about and loves the Bucks. It’s kind of real over on Reddit and on our site I suppose, but it’s not a physical place), there are still a lot of questions left that need answering. Will the winning streak continue on, or will the Bucks find a way to get back to .500 this week? Can Giannis win the NBA Dunk Contest/Rising Stars Game? If Khris Middleton keeps up this level of play will he literally burst into flames??
We’ll get answers to those questions soon. But first, we must see what brought us to this point. Let’s look at last week.
