Of any of the guys who could potentially be up for grabs at the deadline, there’s perhaps nobody who could mesh in better with this Bucks squad than Terrence Jones.

Jones is only 23, and has already surpassed many people’s expectations for him. As a mid-first round pick out of the University of Kentucky, Jones role wasn’t necessarily expected to be more than a solid role player off the bench with the Rockets.

Jones continued to work and develop though, and really came into his own alongside Dwight Howard up front, as his ability to step back and shoot acted as the perfect complement for Howard’s strong interior play.

Having broken through into the starting five and looked impressive, the fact that Jones finds himself back on the bench can’t be easy for him.

A combination of injuries and the emergence of Donatas Motiejunas has limited Jones’ opportunity of late, and as a result the Rockets could well be open to offers.

Jones is exceptionally good value, only owed just over $2 million next season, but the catch would be that the Rockets would likely look for the Bucks to take Jason Terry and his contract off their hands in any potential deal.
