Brandon Bass

Brandon Bass has always been pretty unsung in NBA circles, but put him on the court and he’ll make a big impact.

Since the days when he was Dwight Howard’s understudy in Orlando, Bass has always impressed due to a combination of hustle, rebounding, and surprising range with his velvety-soft jump shot.

With Bass having watched the rest of his Celtics buddies get cleaned out around him, he must be left standing there asking “when is it my turn?”

Bass is on a good contract for playoff-bound teams looking to bulk up, as on $6.75 million for this year, his contract expires in the summer.

As a guy who can provide both scoring and rebounding, as well as providing a general toughness, Bass’ ability to cover at both the four and five spots would prove very helpful to Milwaukee considering the current shape of their front court rotation.

With the Celtics playing the futures market, they have no real reason to hang on to Bass, and I’m sure Danny Ainge could be tempted to deal him if it meant bolstering his ever growing collection of draft picks.
