Adam: Not dissimilar to the Bucks, the Wizards simply seem to be a very different team when they go out on the road. Is there anything in particular that you’ve noticed as a drop off away from home that might help to account for the 24 percent difference in win percentage away from the Verizon Center?

Ben: The Wizards are arguably the most inconsistent team in the NBA, so it’s not surprising to see them struggle away from home. To put it bluntly, teams like the Wizards and Bucks are going to struggle on the road because they’re not elite. The Bucks and Wizards haven’t separated themselves from the rest of the Eastern Conference and they don’t have a LeBron James-type of talent that could will them to victory away from home.

Both teams rely on young players for the majority of their success, so the struggles away from home are not too surprising.
