Jason Kidd, A
- Sometimes Jason Kidd gets clever and plays with the lineup that’s working right now rather than the starting lineup. He did nothing of the sort tonight, playing the situation with his lineup like the maestro he is. Down one with two minutes to play? Enter Carter-Williams for Bayless. Carter-Williams would only grab an important offensive rebound. Up three with :40 remaining? Enter Bayless for Ilyasova–Bayless is the better free throw shooter; he went on to give the Bucks a five point lead from the free throw line with :22 remaining. Brilliant lineup decisions from the CEO.
- Neither Tyler Ennis or Miles Plumlee saw any court-action. Does Jason Kidd believe that the chemistry of his young team was thrown askew by the presence of the new players? Perhaps. It’s not like they payed poorly on the West coast trip–just not brilliantly. One thing is for sure though–the Bucks played with much more continuity against the Wizards tonight than they played with the entire road trip.
