Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Bench
O.J. Mayo, B
8 Points| 4-10 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 3 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK |
The usual gambit of tricks for Mayo. He hit some very important shots in the first overtime (including a three that was this close to going down) and again asserted himself defensively. He still takes jumpers that no one wants him to lift for, but when they go down no one really cares do they?
Jared Dudley, B+
11 Points | 4-6 FG | 1-4 FT | 0 REB | 1 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK |
His two made three pointers (yes!) are offset by his three missed free throws (boo). In a game that originally ended in a tie any of those free throws are ones you wish you had back. It’s really nice to see Dudley jump in and knock down triples. That’s something we haven’t seen since December.
John Henson, A-
15 Points| 6-8 FG | 3-6 FT | 14 REB | 0 AST | 1 STL | 3 BLK |
There’s no denying Henson was the Bucks’ best big man in Game 3. He looked fluid within the offense–often finding soft spots in Chicago’s defense for dunks, and played solid defense on Noah and Gasol. Where he really shined was on the glass where he reeled in fourteen rebounds (six offensive). With the way he’s been playing this series it’s going to be hard for Kidd to justify bringing him off the bench in game four.
Jerryd Bayless, C-
1 Points | 0-4 FG | 1-2 FT | 3 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |
It seems that he just can’t get enough of hero ball. He took yet another ill-advised fourth quarter jumper and was promptly removed from the game. I realize that he’s made that shot at times this season, but in a playoff game with the series on the line and a recent cold-shooting history? That’s not the shot you want.
