Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Starters

Michael Carter-Williams, D

3 Points | 1-6 FG | 1-2 FT | 4 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

I don’t mean to single out Carter-Williams as being exceptionally bad, and I know it’s a little unfair seeing as he got smacked in the mouth early in this one. Still though, Carter-Williams didn’t do much of anything before or after the incident, on offense or defense.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, F

5 Points| 2-6 FG | 1-2 FT | 3 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

Giannis took himself out of this one on a stupid play, which was unfortunate because he wasn’t actually playing that bad considering the rest of the Bucks. But that completely avoidable flagrant foul, along with not doing much before he tackled Dunleavy leads me to penalize Giannis here. You can’t have a good game from the locker room.

Khris Middleton, D+

6 Points | 2-7 FG | 2-2 FT | 3 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

Despite playing 26 minutes, Middleton took just seven shots and only made two of them. In a game where Carter-Williams is injured and Giannis gets himself ejected Middleton needs to realize he needs to score points. He’s a great shooter and he can drive too, he just didn’t. Maybe he could’ve moved up to a C- if he played any defense, but based on the 120 points Chicago scored and the zero blocks or steals he didn’t do a ton of that.

Ersan Ilyasova, D+

7 Points | 3-6 FG | 1-2 FT | 3 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

I could write “_____ didn’t have enough of an impact on this one” on literally all of these grades. Ersan actually played slightly better in Game 6 than he had been this series, but that doesn’t really mean much considering how bad he’s been.

Zaza Pachulia, C+

8 Points | 2-4 FG | 4-4 FT | 3 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

I can’t really blame Zaza as much for this one. This isn’t a terrible Zaza statline. He didn’t rebound much, but eight points on four shots isn’t really that bad. For a center that was brought in to back up Larry Sanders, Zaza at least held his own in this game.
