#2. Brooklyn Nets – 11/19/2014, Barclays Center
If you’re an NBA player, the chances are you can dunk. That means that every now and then the stars will align, they’ll catch an opponent flat-footed, and create a highlight for themselves by finishing strong at the rim.
Only a special type of talent can posterize one of the league’s giants though, and at seven feet tall, that’s exactly what Brooklyn’s Brook Lopez is.
In a play constructed by the outstanding interior work of Zaza Pachulia (I’m holding back the tears of sadness as I type), Parker picks up a highlight worthy of gracing anybody’s reel.
Pachulia screens for Mayo, before rolling away and collecting his pass, then moving towards the basket the big Georgian spots the cutting Parker and drops the ball off into his path.
A leaping Lopez with arms extended above his head does all that he can to stop the inevitable, but Jabari isn’t to be denied, and finishes fantastically.
