#3. Detroit Pistons – 11/7/2014, Palace of Auburn Hills

One potential reason why Josh Smith may have been waived which completely escaped me before compiling this list was the number of times he represented the blur of a Pistons jersey on Jabari Parker’s posters last season! It really is quite remarkable.

As much as there’s a long list of knocks against Smith’s game that can be thrown out, there’s no denying that he’s a long, athletic and versatile defender though. Someone must have forgotten to tell Jabari Parker that though, as he frequently blew past the veteran on his way to the basket.

This play shows just how special Parker can potentially be though. As the play breaks down into an isolation set near the sideline, the 20-year-old takes a couple of dribbles, sizes up his opponent and then blows by him off the dribble.

As if that change of pace wasn’t enough, Parker completes the job with a strong finish. Poor Josh Smith.
