Projections

This isn’t an attempt to be overly positive about the Bucks’ young core, and of course many of the players who crop up above would represent best-case scenarios (and then some) for some of Milwaukee’s young talent.

What it does highlight though, is the sort of shape the Bucks roster is in of right now, and the company those young players are keeping (at least in the early years of their career).

This was exactly the type of thing that led the Bucks to be named as the NBA’s best young core by ESPN, and that’s what was most exciting of all about it: this Bucks team has so many different directions it can take from here.

If it was ever to approach it’s ceiling, the results would be frighteningly good though.

Without further ado, taking into account the year on year progress of some of the players they compared with, as well as their previous production to date, let’s take a wild stab at how the young Bucks above might jump up (in categories relevant to them) this season.

Michael Carter-Williams: 16.5 PPG| 6.1 RPG| 6.0 APG| 1.9 SPG| 43.4% FG| 31.1% 3PT

Khris Middleton: 17.1 PPG| 5.0 RPG| 2.3 APG| 2.0 SPG| 46.5% FG| 42.2% 3PT

John Henson: 8.3 PPG| 6.4 RPG| 2.0 BPG| 0.8 SPG| 56.4% FG| 62.3% FT

Tyler Ennis: 4.2 PPG| 1.0 RPG| 2.2 APG| 0.7 SPG| 42.4% FG| 34.1% 3PT

Giannis Antetokounmpo: 14.1 PPG| 7.3 RPG| 3.2 APG| 1.1 SPG| 47.0% FG| 33.1% 3PT
