The Milwaukee Bucks will finally be playing at home on Opening Night, according to NBA sources. That game will snap the longest streak by far in the NBA–the Bucks hadn’t hosted their first game of the season on Opening Night since Michael Jordan’s rookie season.
So it’s kind of a big deal. And hopefully it means that the Bucks’ fortunes on day one will change, because Milwaukee has not been strong in their first game of the season over the last few seasons. In fact, over the last five seasons the Bucks have won just one of their opening night games.

I’ve went through those five games and looked at how the Bucks did compared to the rest of their season, as a little less-than-fond look back at Milwaukee’s recent road struggles to start their seasons. Hopefully that all changes now that the Bucks will be at home to begin their year in 2015-16.
Anyway, let’s take a quick look back to the last five years of Bucks basketball, and see if opening night has anything to do with how the entire season will go for Milwaukee.
