Figuring out Power Forward.
Eventually Hammond and Kidd will have to figure out what Giannis and Jabari’s positions are. If Giannis can develop a real three point shoot and put on some weight, then he could be a dangerous stretch-four with the abilitiy to snatch rebounds in the post and stretch the floor to the three-point line.
He could also be more effective playing from the wing like he did last year. This year will hopefully show which one is more effective spending some time in the paint.
Chris Copeland stands to spend some time here as well, especially if they’re running small ball lineups. The key to success with this is grabbing rebounds and being efficient between Monroe and the wing players.
Athleticism will be our friend here for match-ups, but Henson will likely be the answer for teams like Memphis who have multiple bigs bullying in the paint. Johnny O’Bryant and Inglis will round out the garbage time minutes here.
