Small(ish) forward and Outside Shooting
Giannis spent considerable parts of 2014-2015 sliding across to shooting guard, and the rest of the time trying to figure out which forward position to play. But with Jabari out for the beginning of the season and Middleton emerging as the #1 outside option, this is the logical place for him to start.
Expect Giannis and Copeland to split time at the forward spots, with Copeland coming off the bench to replace Giannis and Jabari once he’s back in the rotation.
Kris Middleton is the key piece on the wing in this regard though, as he’s the outside assasin that the team desperately needs. Copeland will help to stretch out to the three-point line as well, but expect Middleton to be taking most of the buzzer-beaters.
Ideally Jabari, MCW, and Giannis will join them, and if two of them can develop legitimate three-point shooting then our offense is starting to get scary. Vasquez figures to back up Middleton if MCW figures out anything resembling a three-point shot, but until then expect O.J. Mayo and Rashad Vaughn to see the rest of the minutes
