Who’s The Greatest Buck Johnson Played With?
AM: Who was the best player that you played with during your time with the Bucks?
MJ: There were so many greats with the Bucks.
I played with Norm Van Lier, Dave Cowens, Tiny Archibald, and Bob Lanier when they were past their primes. Junior Bridgeman and Brian Winters were two of the most devastating jump-shooters ever. Those teams were so deep that Alex English was even a backup forward on the Bucks in my rookie year. He must have realized the battle for minutes would be a tough one with me and Junior Bridgeman at small forward!
But Sidney Moncrief was the best. He’d lock down on defense while getting his efficient 20 points, six rebounds and four assists.
