How Henson Fits
Monroe’s unquestionably the starting center for the Bucks heading into the season so that leaves Henson as the backup center and presumably, the first big man off the bench. It’s a role that Henson should be used to by now and quite possibly plays to his strengths.
Along with that, with a few players returning from last year’s team, like O.J. Mayo and Jerryd Bayless, it’s another year for Henson to shine as part of the second unit.
As we’ve seen with Henson in the past, continuity seems to be key for him and another year with familiar faces who’ve grown to play with Henson over the last year or so could be key for him to improve more as a player.
Where things could get interesting is if coach Jason Kidd decides to play Henson and Monroe together, presumably against bigger matchups.
Admittedly, the thought of Henson and Monroe leaves a little left to be desired as they both have shown that they work best as centers and the Bucks have players that could be utilized better than the pairing of Henson and Monroe.
