Reactions: The Bad

  • Karl-Anthony Towns is good. You already know that. Against the Bucks the #1 pick went off. He scored 18 points on 8-12 shooting while adding a game-high 12 rebounds. The combination of him and Andrew Wiggins could approach Chris Paul/ Blake Griffin levels. Good thing for the Bucks they will only see that pair twice a season. That is, until their inevitable collision in the NBA Finals some time in the next four years…
  • Here’s Towns using an unfair move on Monroe…unreal.

And going in for a VERY uncontested dunk over Khris Middleton.

  • The Bucks had just 15 combined assists compared to 26 from the T-Wolves. One could make the case that the offense missed the services of Michael Carter-Williams.
  • After the first three pre-season games I vowed to purchase a Rashad Vaughn jersey as soon as possible. I’m going to back off that claim. I’ll still get one, sure; but the 6, 2, 2 scoring outings over his last three games gives me pause. Was his 20, 11, 19 scoring totals over the first three games just smoke and mirrors? I think not. But fans should be ready for periodic slumps. He is just a rookie, after all. I can’t wait to see what he does in the regular season.
