AM: Out of John Wall, Bradley Beal and Otto Porter, which young Wizard are you expecting the biggest jump in production from this season?

BM: Is “all of the above” a choice? No? OK.

I expect all three players to improve greatly, but Bradley Beal should be in the discussion for Most Improved Player. He worked his butt off this summer to improve his ball handling and it’s paying off. He’s no longer just a stand-still jump shooter. He’s creating shots off the dribble and he’s consciously attacking the basket — not settling for long twos.

Perhaps more importantly, he’s finally playing in an offense that suits his game. He can shoot threes all game long. He doesn’t have to worry about a clogged paint anymore. His field goal attempts should rise and his production will too.
