Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Bench

Greivis Vasquez, D+

9 Points| 2-7 FG | 5-5 FT | 3 REB | 4 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

You know that awkward part of a pick-up game where an entire team has no idea what their teammates are going to do? It’s called being lost. Unfortunately Vasquez looked lost for much of his homecoming game in Toronto. Once his three-point shot (0-4) starts to fall his game should open up. But for now he’s been largely ineffective.

Chris Copeland, D-

10 Points | 3-6 FG | 2-2 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

Copeland’s game so far has been heavily reliant on the three-pointer. That’s all well and good, but the Bucks need more from him than spot up shooting. He didn’t record a meaningful stat other than points in 21 minutes of action. He’s also shown some very poor defense which should undoubtedly effect his playing time once the team is healthier.

Damien Inglis, C

2 Points | 0-2 FG | 2-2 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

Didn’t enter the contest until the game was well out of hand. It’s a wonder too, because in the minutes that he does get he brings energy and an eagerness to make plays. That’s more than you can say for most of his teammates right now.

Jeryyd Bayless, D

2 Points | 1-3 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

It’s hard to be too critical of Bayless. The lineups that he’s been a part of often utilize him in the SG position where his natural abilities are at the PG position. He needs the ball in his hands in order to make plays and struggles to move well without the ball. If we see more MCW-Vasquez-Bayless lineups we will continue seeing little production from Bayless.

Miles Plumlee, B+

8 Points| 3-5 FG | 2-2 FT | 3 REB | 0 AST | 1 STL | 4 BLK |

With Parker and Henson both out. the Bucks are in dire need of a big man to play meaningful minutes. Plumlee did just that in Toronto, sticking his nose in the thick of the game and tacking together 4 blocks.

Rashad Vaughn, C

0 Points| 0-2 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

Like Inglis, Vaughn didn’t enter the game until it was essentially over. It was strange that he didn’t get more minutes given that the Bucks were in dire need of shooting. Perhaps his preseason didn’t do much to earn Jason Kidd’s trust.
