Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Bench

Greivis Vasquez, C+

15 Points| 6-14 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 9 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

Despite my gut’s inclination to really like Vasquez’s play I just haven’t seen the production to warrant much. He hit 3-4 three pointers in the first half (after 4-29 total). That’s a stark improvement. But he’s also a culprit in bad Bucks’ offense. His position right now seems to be chief over-dribbler and leading poor-shot taker.

Jeryyd Bayless, A

22 Points | 7-10 FG | 5-6 FT | 2 REB | 2 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK |

The most exciting element of Bayless’ renaissance is his dead-eye from three point range. He hit all three of his attempts Wednesday night, the last of which pulling the Bucks even with the Nuggets. He willed the team back into contention and for that he deserves praise. The ball should have been in his hands on the last play, gassed as he was.

John Henson, C+

4 Points | 2-5 FG | 0-2 FT | 2 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

He’s looked a little off since that outburst in Madison Square Garden. But he’s still making okay use of the minutes he’s playing. Perhaps his limited minutes are a by-product of his injury, but more likely it’s performance based. The Bucks were getting killed on the glass and Henson did little to alleviate that.

Rashad Vaughn, C

0 Points | 0-1 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

Pretty standard fare for the rookie–no shots taken within the three point line and no meaningful stat other than a missed shot. His performance against Denver was as nondescript as they come. With O.J. Mayo returning (hopefully) soon, Vaughn stands to lose the limited minutes he’s been playing.
