  • He used an awfully strange lineup with the game hanging in the balance. Spurning conventional wisdom (like playing Giannis), Kidd went with JOB instead. 99 times out of 100 that’s the wrong call. Not tonight. Tonight he played the hot hand perfectly, getting great minutes from JOB culminating in a gutsy go-ahead jumper from the Bucks big guy.
  • At some point the Vasquez, Bayless combo has to stop. Those two essentially play the same perimeter-dribble game and neither seems too keen to give up the ball late in the shot clock. I understand that Mayo and MCW are unavailable for the time being. But that doesn’t mean Kidd couldn’t have used Ennis more (15 minutes). The moral is you don’t have to suffer Vasquez/ Bayless lineups. So don’t do it.
