Reactions: The Bad

  • Rebounding can remain in the top spot here. The Bucks as a team only got out-rebounded by three boards on Monday night, but one specific rebound sequence was most certainly a bad thing for Milwaukee…
  • Milwaukee’s offense played pretty well, but it didn’t look as smart as Detroit’s. The Pistons had a lot of impressive screen action and set plays that got Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson in good positions for them to score. The Bucks sometimes run one pick and roll and a bit of jogging around for their entire offensive possession. We need more strategy to help out these Young Bucks on offense.
  • Andre Drummond is as good as advertised. In just 24 minutes Drummond ended up with 15 points, 15 rebounds, one steal and one block. Nine of those boards were offensive, and all nine of those offensive boards came in the first half. Yeesh.
  • What’s happened to John Henson?! He was terrible tonight, and didn’t even look very engaged out there. I would guess that’s down to his lack of minutes lately, but Henson needs to stay focused and be able to contribute in smaller situations going forward. He knew he’d be a backup center going forward–not getting tons of minutes every night is part of that.
