Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Bench

Greivis Vasquez, B+

9 Points| 3-4 FG | 1-1 FT | 2 REB | 7 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

Would have earned an “A” if not for the three turnovers. Despite them he did a very good job leading the strong Bucks bench offensively. He hit timely threes and never forced his own shot. Instead he actively looked to get teammates easy looks. It worked too–to the tune of seven assists in just sixteen minutes.

John Henson, A

15 Points | 6-8 FG | 3-5 FT | 11  REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

Classic John Henson. He sucked Monday, but was awesome Wednesday. He was more than efficient offensively, shooting 6-8. But it’s his rebounds that were most impressive, grabbing six offensive rebounds. Unlike Monroe, he uses his length to tip the ball away from the opposing team. That’s how you can tell if he’s engaged on any given night. And he was certainly into it Wednesday.

Jerryd Bayless, B

13 Points | 4-8 FG | 2-3 FT | 4 REB | 4 AST | 4 STL | 0 BLK |

Like MCW, he struggled to hang with Rondo, causing big problems for the Bucks defense. From a numbers standpoint he passes the eye test–tallying healthy totals in four major categories. Oh, and he’s still lighting it up from three, too. This time going 3-4 from downtown, including that buzzer beater at the end of the first half. He’s 4th in the NBA in three-point percentage at 46.8 percent.

O.J. Mayo, C-

12 Points | 5-15 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

I don’t think Mayo should lead the team in field goal attempts, but can live with it when the vast majority of those attempts come from downtown. Even though he hit just 2-12 of his three pointers, they were almost all quality looks that came from an offensive set. There was one pull-up three in transition that was poor, but that same shot went down Monday night so it’s hard to really criticize.
