Gregg Popovich thinks that his team are nowhere near what they’ll eventually become, and he’s probably right. The Spurs already have the league’s number one defense, but by the master’s projection it’ll be March by the time that their offense comes around. Yet, they’re already 14-4, so the idea of them clicking is a terrifying thought.
In terms of individuals, Tony Parker and Tim Duncan continue to embrace their aging status in carving out new, more efficient supporting roles for themselves, while as LaMarcus Aldridge starts to bed into the system, Kawhi Leonard prepares to take his game to a different stratosphere. They’ll be tough to stop.
