28. New Orleans Pelicans

Injuries may have decimated the New Orleans Pelicans for the first month of Alvin Gentry’s reign with the team, yet the problems with this team are bigger than that. On paper they look like an odd fit of talent, and it’s playing out that way on the floor. They’ve too many overpaid players and they struggle with identity.

Anthony Davis is exactly who we all know he is, but it’s the likes of Eric Gordon, Jrue Holiday and Omer Asik who are letting the team down with their inefficiency and/or effort. It’s hard to see how it starts to look up from here. There are big questions to be asked and answered in the Big Easy.
