Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Starters

Tyler Ennis, C-

4 Points | 2-8 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |

Tyler Ennis has now started five of the nine games he’s appeared in this season, yet whatever Kidd’s logic for getting him out there on this occasion, the youngster looked lost. He was a passenger, who looked out of his depth against the experience and talent of the Spurs. Couldn’t find a way to exert any real influence.

O.J. Mayo, D

2 Points| 1-6 FG | 0-0 FT | 6 REB | 3 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

Since moving into the starting lineup, Mayo has gone 9-27 from the field and 4-14 from deep. His communication would want to be the glue holding the whole franchise together at this point, as his recent run isn’t showing anywhere near enough to warrant him holding a starting spot.

Khris Middleton, B+

16 Points | 6-11 FG | 3-3 FT | 3 REB | 3 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

The most reliable player on this team over the last ten days, hands down. As we’ve all been focused on absolutely every other aspect of play and off-the-court news, Middleton has been going about his business and returning to the form that earned him $70 million this past summer. He’s taking responsibility for his contributions, it’s now up to his teammates to follow suit.

 Giannis Antetokounmpo, C

7 Points | 2-8 FG | 3-4 FT | 4 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 2 BLK |

This was always going to be a tough night for Giannis. He started the game out guarding Tim Duncan, but also had spells taking responsibility for Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge. Leonard went 3-12 and Antetokounmpo certainly troubled him, but all that attention on the defensive end seemed to take something out of Giannis on offense. More aggression needed.

Greg Monroe, C+

14 Points| 6-13 FG | 2-2 FT | 7 REB | 0 AST | 1 STL | 1 BLK |

Monroe was solid on the offensive end, even if his teammates looked to run the play through him so much that it started to become predictable for San Antonio. Offense is never the problem with Moose though, and this might be the worst defensive showing we’ve seen from him as a Buck. Lack of effort, and not working hard enough to get back down the court after misses or makes.
