24.  1984 Los Angeles Clippers Trade

In the same way that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s trade to the Lakers saw the Bucks bring home a haul that set them up for much of the remaining years of the 1970s, their blockbuster trade with the Los Angeles Clipper set the table for much of the ’80s.

Looking to retool so as to ensure their successful team didn’t grow stale, the Bucks traded All-Star forward Marques Johnson, veteran Junior Bridgeman and rotation player Harvey Catchings in exchange for Ricky Pierce, Terry Cummings and Craig Hodges.

Although the deal saw the Bucks part way with two of the franchise’s most beloved figures, it was a massive win for the team as each of Cummings, Pierce and Hodges went on to be key players with Milwaukee for multiple years.
