AM: Who from the Sixers large cast of under the radar guys has stood out with his play so far this season, and why has that been the case?

JW: I’m typing this up as I re-watch Tuesday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, and Jerami Grant had a play in that game which showed that he is a player deserving of more credit. He transitioned beautifully down the floor setting himself up for a fast break layup, and then timed his travel down the court perfectly to get a block on the other end.

Despite a 1-29 record, one of the bright spots for Philly has been blocks. The Sixers are fourth in the league in blocks, and Grant has put himself in the top 15 in blocks per game, despite being 6’8” tall. Grant hustles big time on both ends and plays fantastic defense, so I think he’s deserving of the under-the-radar guy.

Richaun Holmes, another one of this year’s draft picks is another guy I heavily considered for this question.
