Reactions: The Bad

  • The story of this game is the fourth quarter. Looking at the game log it’s easy to see why–the Bucks didn’t hit a field goal until 6:13 left in the game. Oddly enough it was a MCW jumper that broke them out of the slump. The Bucks would ultimately trim the deficit to just six points, but the Raptors closed the game with five (FIVE!!) straight three pointers while the Bucks hung their collective heads and packed it in.
  • Bismack Biyombo was a force of nature in the paint. In addition to fourteen points and twelve rebounds he added four blocks while clogging the lane and making things difficult at the rim for the Bucks all night. Here he is getting a killer block on Jabari Parker.
  • The “Own the Future” pair were collectively dreadful against the robust Raptors. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker combined for 13 points on 4-17 shooting with just six rebounds and four assists. Jabari Parker was 2-12, looking unable to finish at the rim and create space in traffic. Meanwhile Giannis Antetokounmpo took just five field goals. Those two are the future of this franchise. And while they seldom play that poorly, it’s still discouraging to see them that ineffective versus stark competition.
