Milwaukee Bucks Grades and Reactions to 112-111 Win Over the Boston Celtics
Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Starters
O.J. Mayo
, A-
0 Points | 0-2 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 6 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |
How can a player score zero points while missing both his shots and still earn an A? It comes down to leadership. LeBron gets a ton of credit as being a “player-coach”. Mayo deserves similar credit for the work he does with the Bucks young players.
Khris Middleton
, B-
20 Points| 6-16 FG | 6-8 FT | 5 REB | 5 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |
With the game on the line the Bucks put the ball in Middleton’s hands. For all the world it felt like he was going to settle for some sort of pull-up jumper. Instead he gave the ball to Monroe on the low block with plenty of time to work. Middleton’s value to the team goes far beyond just scoring.
, B+
14 Points | 6-12 FG | 2-2 FT | 3 REB | 2 AST | 2 STL | 3 BLK |
He made a couple of jumpers, air-balled a three, and generally provided the sort of performance that he’s been bringing all season. It was a bit of a surprise to see that he scored 14 points thanks to a relatively quiet offensive game, but he made all-around excellent contributions on both sides of the ball.
Jabari Parker
, B-
10 Points | 5-12 FG | 0-1 FT | 3 REB | 2 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |
To start the game the way he did should give Bucks fans hope. He was efficient, decisive, and damn good on offense before taking a seat in the first quarter. Unfortunately he went silent as the grave after that as Monroe went on to lift the offense.
Miles Plumlee
, B
6 Points| 3-6 FG | 0-0 FT | 5 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |
A predictable, steady performance from the Bucks enigmatic big man. He had a notable nasty throw down, a huge block, and delivered a somewhat imposing low post presence. He’s not a potential All-Star, but he’s damn serviceable.
