Jerryd Bayless – A

The Behind the Buck Pass staff has been plotting to trade Jerryd Bayless for literally a year now, so it’s pretty fair to say the expectations on him were low coming into the season. Black Hole Bayless cares not for expectations though.

He takes a ton of shots–maybe too many–but to Bayless’ credit he’s made a whole lot of them this season. The Black Hole leads all non-Copeland Bucks in three-point attempts per 36 minutes. That alone seems like a sigh-worthy stat, until you realize Bayless also leads all Bucks in three-point percentage at 43.6.

In fact, only two players in the NBA this season are shooting a better percentage than Bayless on three-pointers while also taking as many as he does per game: J.J. Redick and Stephen Curry. That’s exclusive company.

So for being the entirety of the Milwaukee Bucks bench, and at times the entirety of the Milwaukee Bucks offense, I’d say Jerryd Bayless deserves his A grade. If the team was good he might even get an A+.
