Michael Carter-Williams – A-

Despite most Bucks fans blindly calling for Michael Carter-Williams to get traded since forever and him being benched at least two different times this season, MCW is having a really nice year.

He’s scaled back his usage percentage in a big way, added an at least slightly competent three-point shot to his game, cut down on turnovers, boosted his field goal percentage and offensive efficiency metrics, and is averaging over 11 points, five assists and five rebounds per game.

I’m not sure what more can be expected from the third-year point guard, but Carter-Williams seems to have made all the improvements that fans and critics have begged for since he came to Milwaukee.

Trading him now feels like a massive mistake considering the large gains he’s made in virtually every area of his game. Michael Carter-Williams isn’t done getting better yet, both physically and mentally.

But the growth in both of those areas he’s shown is encouraging, and enough for him to get a low A grade from me.
