Chris Copeland – D-

Initially when deciding to grade the entire Bucks roster, I figured Chris Copeland would be my best candidate for getting an F. He played himself out of the Bucks rotation almost immediately, thanks to being one of the least aware defenders east of Enes Kanter.

Then I remembered to weigh the grades with expectations. Copeland was brought in almost exclusively to shoot threes, and he’s been bad at that too, making under 28 percent of them.

But for a guy who was signed near the very end of the offseason for almost no money (in NBA terms), it feels wrong to expect any sort of meaningful contributions.

So even though Copeland has been essentially a human victory (or defeat, considering the Bucks record) cigar, he doesn’t get an F. He does get a D- though. Come on Cope, you should be better than this.

The fact that Copeland kept his hair helped him avoid getting an F as well. Milwaukee lost too many good haircuts already this season–the dreads need to stick around. If he cuts those locks without getting any better on the floor, Chris Copeland will get no mercy in the end of season grades.
