Greg Monroe – B+

It’s tough to grade Greg Monroe’s Milwaukee tenure. On one hand, Moose has played at least okay defense and been the low-post monster that fans hoped for when he was signed. Those are good things.

On the other hand, Monroe joined a team that was the sixth seed last season but now currently sits 13th in the Eastern Conference.

Of course there’s a lot more than goes into that sharp decline than just Greg Monroe coming to Milwaukee, but the point stands that his signing has not turned the Bucks in the right direction.

That’s why according to some sources, Moose was available for trade earlier this season. That has apparently changed recently, but there’s a reason Monroe was likely available. He’s not adding enough to this core to create a good team right now.

So as good as his individual numbers have been, I don’t feel like Greg Monroe has been an A worthy player in Milwaukee. He’s been very good, but not excellent given the lofty expectations that come with signing a max contract.
