Despite an earlier report claiming that Greg Monroe is off the market, the most recent Milwaukee Bucks trade rumors have named the New Orleans Pelicans as a team interested in the Moose.
NBA trade deadline talk is nearing its craziest point, and Milwaukee Bucks trade rumors are swirling everywhere.
Although early in the week a report claimed Greg Monroe was off of the table, Zach Lowe wrote today that New Orleans was interested in the Moose’s services:
"The Pelicans still like the idea of surrounding Anthony Davis with a bruiser; they’ve gone back and forth with the Bucks about Greg Monroe, sources say. New Orleans’ roster is pretty bare going forward, and the team might feel pressure to salvage something from this disastrous, injury-riddled season."
Monroe is certainly a bruiser, and watching him work on offense with Anthony Davis could be a lot of fun. There are a lot of questions that have to be answered about this potential trade.
Would those two really fit next to each other, and more importantly would Moose fit on the Pelicans? Why is New Orleans trying to upgrade now, when they’re so bad? Who would New Orleans send back? And most importantly, is there a potential deal here?
As always, we have some answers for all of those questions.
