9. Acquired Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown from Golden State in exchange for Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson

Moving on from Andrew Bogut may not have been the worst decision the Bucks ever made, but the haul they got for the talented defensive center is still pretty poor. Monta Ellis bolted after a season and a half, which was a surprise to approximately nobody.

Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown are names I didn’t expect I’d ever have to type while writing an article in 2016. Neither of them accomplished much of anything in Milwaukee, or anywhere else for that matter.

If the rumor that the Warriors offered Stephen Curry and the Bucks refused in favor of Ellis is true, this trade probably jumps up to about the top of this list. As far as I can tell though, neither side will ever admit to that for any reason.

So for now it’s simply a wasted first overall pick. Bogut might fit in well on the current Bucks honestly, and could make a return to Milwaukee someday. Hopefully any trade that re-acquires him doesn’t end up on a revised version of this list!
