8. Traded a 2015 second-round pick and a 2017 first round pick (from the Clippers) to Toronto for Greivis Vasquez

Although Milwaukee planned on being good in 2016, it still doesn’t make sense that the team was willing to give up on two draft picks for Greivis Vasquez. Vasquez had just one season left on his deal, and the Bucks already had Jerryd Bayless and O.J. Mayo as their backup guards.

Then Vasquez struggled mightily for the Bucks, further making this trade look bad. Then it was revealed that Vasquez was playing hurt, possibly dating back to before Milwaukee acquired him. Now it looks horrendous.

Especially considering how bad Milwaukee is in 2016. Giving up two draft picks for an injured Vasquez season makes no sense. It seems unlikely that he will re-sign in Milwaukee, or that the Bucks would even be interested in retaining his services on a team that clearly needs to continue growing before it can contend.

Getting the 2017 Clippers pick and Jared Dudley for some role players seemed like a steal at the time, but now both of those assets have been traded away for essentially nothing. Oh, Bucks…
