Milwaukee Bucks Grades and Reactions From 98-95 Loss to Charlotte Hornets

He hit half of his three-point attempts for his only scoring contribution. That’s a welcome sign. On the season Mayo has consistently chucked up duds from beyond the arc, so him hitting half his shots from deep is a welcome change.
Khris Middleton

20 Points| 6-17 FG | 5-7 FT | 4 REB | 7 AST | 2 STL | 1 BLK |
It’s a shame that nobody else wanted to step up to help Middleton with the scoring efforts late in the fourth quarter. He did what he could, which included a crucial three point foul and subsequent 2-3 delivery from the line, but when the game plan is “iso Middleton” it’s really easy for the defense to slow him down.

This is why I maintain that Giannis is the Bucks most valuable asset. He’s not their best player right now, mind you, but every so often he shows just how high his ceiling really is. Friday was one of those nights. His performance is highlighted by his fast-break block before halftime and that reverse windmill dunk in the third. He’s impossible to not like.
Jabari Parker
, A-
23 Points | 10-19 FG | 3-4 FT | 11 REB | 2 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |
That’s a glimpse of the Jabari Parker the Bucks had in mind when they drafted him last summer. A powerful finisher. Strong slasher. And most importantly–possessor of a strong mid-range game from which he’s capable of creating his own shots. We saw all of that Friday night.
Miles Plumlee
, B
6 Points| 3-5 FG | 0-0 FT | 6 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 3 BLK |
Plumdog was his reliable energetic self. He struggled with his assignment on Zeller, but was great at the rim, punctuated by three blocks and a pair of show-stopping put-back dunks. The Bucks would have won if he got fourth quarter minutes.
