Reactions: The Bad

  • The Bucks interior defense was worthless for much of the game. Milwaukee handily outscored Boston in the paint, 68-52, but each time Boston went on a run to extend their lead it was the Bucks leaky interior defense that allowed it. The Bucks are becoming a very “get to the basket” sort of team, but they need to get better at stopping opponents from gashing their defense so easily.
  • Isaiah Thomas was a problem for the Bucks all night. O.J. Mayo couldn’t stay in front of him, MCW accumulated four fouls defending him, and this happened to poor Khris Middleton. Thomas scored 27 on 10-21 shooting and racked up a +15.
  • Expendable MCW is back. Late in the fourth with the Bucks down five on a must score possession, MCW fumbled the ball out of bounds. The Celtics responded with a gut punch of a three-pointer. Then with the Bucks down seven with 32 seconds left, MCW hoisted up a three-pointer that never had a chance. You just don’t know what you’re going to get from him.
