Milwaukee Bucks Grades and Reactions To 112-107 Loss To Boston Celtics
Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Bench
Michael Carter-Williams, D+

MCW was the hero a couple of games ago in Atlanta. While he wasn’t exactly a disaster against the Celtics, he sure wasn’t helpful down the stretch. He committed a no-no turnover in a crucial situation and then snuffed any hope from the Bucks with a missed three down seven with 32 seconds left.

Nothing out of the ordinary here. Just a couple of well executed spin moves, some nice court awareness, and a big body that the Celtics could do nothing about (again). It’s a shame the Bucks didn’t go to him more often given how undersized the Boston lineup is.

He’s firing at will these days, and that can only do wonders for his confidence. In just 13 minutes he took six shots. While I think that’s just a touch too frequent, it’s still a strong sign. Shooters have to shoot. And if he’s going to be a solid role player for the Bucks he’s going to have to shoot confidently.

JOB minutes live! Well, at least four of them do. After sitting all month, save for garbage time against L.A., JOB got some meaningful minutes and manages to do JOB with them. He didn’t score, missing his only shot, and tallied a -7 in just four minutes.

He made his first triple as a Milwaukee Buck! Here’s to many, many more. He played just seven minutes, but in that time racked up an impressive +11. Novak as the key to success? I’ll buy that I guess. As long as he can make threes he’s a welcome addition to the roster.

Ennis played just five minutes and was able to score a basket, but one has to be concerned for his future as a Buck. He just isn’t very important as a rotation player and the only reason he saw any minutes Thursday night was because Mayo got into foul trouble early.
