Michael Carter-Williams – 5.2 assists per game – 23rd in the NBA

Speaking of players losing spots on the stat leaderboards due to losing their starting spots, Michael Carter-Williams’ assist per game numbers have plummeted in the last month.

It’s harder to create good shots coming off of the bench and spending more time with the bench mob, as MCW is learning. As long as Jason Kidd feels it’s best to start O.J. Mayo at point guard, the Bucks won’t have any players in the upper echelon of this stat.

The Bucks lack of a lead point guard also results in more players getting assists, as the team is still eighth in the NBA in assists per game. But no one player in Milwaukee is going to even sniff the top ten this season, sadly enough.

At least MCW has a defensive statistic coming up he can hang his hat on. It’s too bad the Milwaukee Bucks seem to have given up on him as the team’s point guard going forward. He had done some good things this season.
